According to officials, at least 25 individuals, among them 14 soldiers, lost their lives, and 40 others were hurt in an explosion at Quetta Railway Station on Saturday. “According to Quetta’s Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Operations, Mohammad Baloch, 14 army personnel are included in the 25 confirmed fatalities.”
CCTV recordings documented the instant the explosion erupted at Quetta’s central railway station, as numerous individuals stood on the platform. The aftermath revealed corpses scattered on the platform, with the roof of the station ripped away.
Several of the injured are in critical condition. An investigation has been launched to determine the exact cause of the explosion, Geo TV reported.
Pakistan is facing a rise in terrorist assaults in its northwest region and an escalating separatist rebellion in the south.

“The explosion occurred within the railway station just as the Peshawar-bound express was preparing to depart for its destination,” the senior police officer stated.
The Quetta blast has been claimed by the Baloch Liberation Army.
Jeeyand Baloch, the spokesperson for the group, declared, “We take responsibility for the explosion at Quetta Railway Station. This morning, a fidayee assault occurred against a Pakistani army unit at Quetta Railway Station as they were returning on the Jaffer Express after finishing a course at the Infantry School. The assault was carried out by the BLA’s fidayee group, Majeed Brigade. “Additional information will be provided to the media shortly.”
The Baloch Liberation Army claimed that the assault aimed at military members on the Jaffer Express passenger train while it was getting ready to leave the station.
The event additionally resulted in harm to railway infrastructure. Since then, authorities have sealed off the area.
