Rapper Lil Durk Arrested in Murder-for-Hire on 25 OCT
Rapper Lil Durk, born Durk Banks, has been taken into custody and is confronting a federal accusation for an alleged conspiracy to commit murder linked to the passing of Lul Pab, a relative of Quando Rondo. This occurrence follows the indictment of five individuals believed to be part of Lil Durk’s Only the Family (OTF) group by federal prosecutors in California. The accusations state that these individuals planned to cross state borders in order to execute the supposed assault on Quando Rondo’s group in 2022.
Reports state that Lil Durk was taken into custody by U.S. Marshals on Thursday and is presently detained at the Broward County Correctional Facility in Florida. Police documents indicate that the rapper, aged 32, is currently under arrest with no bail option and is awaiting transfer to California for federal charges. Reportedly, individuals from OTF allegedly utilized a credit card associated with the music label to buy plane tickets, allowing them to journey from Chicago to California upon discovering Quando Rondo’s whereabouts.
The federal indictment accuses the five men of participating in the shooting as part of a bigger plan that includes alleged OTF gang involvement. The individuals facing charges are Kavon London Grant, also known as “Vonnie”, Deandre Dontrell Wilson, also known as “DeDe”, Keith Jones, also known as “Flacka”, David Brian Lindsey, also known as “Browneyez”, and Asa Houston, also known as “Boogie”. The charges imply that these individuals planned to seek revenge on Quando Rondo, who they thought was linked to the unfortunate passing of rapper King Von in 2020.
The origins of the case can be traced back to a longstanding dispute. The conflict between Quando Rondo’s group and King Von in 2020 resulted in Von’s untimely passing in Atlanta, sparking a surge of hostility between Rondo’s team and Von’s OTF allies. This recently exposed conspiracy to commit murder is thought to be a further response to Von’s demise.
