Seven individuals including five students
Islamabad – the capital of Pakistan.
An explosion in southwest Pakistan on Friday morning resulted in the deaths of at least seven individuals, including five students, and left 17 others wounded.
Officials reported that a makeshift explosive device placed on a motorcycle was set off in Mustang, a region in the insurgency-ridden Balochistan province, seemingly aimed at a police patrol close to a school.
One of the deceased individuals was a police officer, while several others were wounded.
Both the provincial government and Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif denounced the violence as a “terrorist attack” in individual remarks.
No faction promptly admitted to carrying out the bombing in Balochistan, known for its rich natural resources, where various Baloch separatist groups often attack members of security forces and government facilities.

Gunmen on Tuesday assaulted workers at a dam site in Panjgur district, an area with low population density. Five people were killed and two others were injured. The BLA, an outlawed group, took credit for the attack.
In a different district last month, a group of heavily armed attackers raided a coal mine and killed 21 workers.
BLA, designated as a global terrorist organization by the United States, along with other allied insurgent groups, assert that they are striving for the independence of Balochistan.
They have also focused on projects funded by China in the province and Chinese nationals working on them, claiming that Beijing is supporting Islamabad in utilizing the region’s resources. Both nations deny the accusations and brand rebels as impediments to progress in impoverished Balochistan.
